Text in Yast unreadable

I everybody,

I am trying to install SUSE 10.2 on a Compact computer.

I boot from the DVD SUSE, the first screen where I make the choise of what I want to do is all right.

But after I choose installation I am direct to Yast for the installation process but all text in Yast are unreadable. It look like Alien language.

Can you help me please?

Thanks!

so does it look like say chinese, or more like a graphics error ?

I think there should be a way to select installation language in the boot-menu (maybe F6 or something) , should be at the bottom of the boot-screen.

Try text mode?

Text mode will probably work.

at the boot promt screen, use the option "textmode=1"

or you could try a very low graphical resolution, chosen from F3 at the boot menu.
