Syncing a tungsten E with Suse 9.2 doesn't work

Hi, I am having problem syncing my Palm Tungsten E with Suse 9.2 using KPilot, I have not been able to get it to sync at all. Ive created a link from /dev/pilot to /dev/ttyUSB1 and set the permissions correctly as suggested in the kpilot documentation but ive still had no joy. Ive tried syncing in using KPilot in mandrake 10.1 and everything works without any configuration. Please can anyone tell me if they can sync their tungsten e with suse 9.2, (it doesn't matter if its not with KPilot) and if so how they got it to work.
cheers

Are you sure that /dev/ttyUSB1 is really assigned to this device? Have a look in the output of dmesg after you plugged-in the Palm. I have no palmpilot myself, but I guess it's all about proper detection of the device.

Ive tried it with both /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 and neither work. Has anybody out there got a palm syncing with 9.2?

Talking Finally got it working!!!!

I've finally got my tungsten e to sync with kpilot
In the kpilot settings i set the device to:
/dev/usb/ttyUSB1

I'm not sure why this is used because dmesg says that the device is attached to:
/dev/ttyUSB1

but at least it works.

Thanks for trying to help abisko00.
