Susie mac

Call me crazy... but i wanted to but Susie on my mac mini... (g4 1.24GHZ 512 ram)

I just made the Deibian install CD... but being a newbie... I believe susie to be more 'user friendly'

Thanks

Excuse my ignorance, but what is "Susie"? and what exactly do you want help with?

Nathanael 08-28-2005 08:02 PM

let me guess: susie is supposed to stand for SuSE?

question to dna3e8: what do you think mac os X is based on?

dna3e8 08-29-2005 07:20 AM

I know it is unix based, using the darwin kernel and free BSD. Yes I mean SuSe.
Mosix works to patch linux kernels, I don't know about patching darwin with it. And wold like to tinker with SuSie / Linux before playing with Darwin / Tiger.

thanks

so... asking the same q as ctkroeker

what is you question? what do you need help with?

dna3e8 08-29-2005 07:50 AM

finding and installing linux on my external HD. I was specifically looking for SuSe. I have a version of debian for PowerPC but can't get the CD to boot.
from debian's home-page:
debian-31r0a-powerpc-binary-1.iso
