One of the easiest ways is to use Webmin. Go to
www.webmin.com (I believe), download the RPM and install it using Yast. After installing reboot. Then open shell and su (it asks you for the root password). Then type:
smbpasswd -a yourlinuxusername
It asks for a password.
Then go to
https://localhost:10000
Enter root + password to login. Go to servers, then Samba Windows File Sharing.
You might have to tell webmin where samba is. It's under etc/samba I believe.
Now you can easily create shares (don't forget to give write permissions). Also under Windows Networking don't forget to enter your workgroup and server name.
In windows it's easy now. If it can't see the computername use the ip address. In win explorer \\theipaddress\, you should see the shares you made. Right MB - map network drive etc.
