SUSE storage capacity

I am new to Linux(SUSE) and I want to know if there is a limit on how many GBs SUSE will recognize. I want to install 4 250GB HDDs on my SUSE machine but I want to make sure that SUSE will recognize them before I buy them.

Thanks, Javi

Should be no problem wrt size. I have 960 GBytes on line (in 4 hard drives) and don't have a problem. ... You may notice the SuSE boot is a bit slower with 4 drives, as each drive undergoes a very brief check when SuSE boots.

The main thing to watch is the type of drive/chipset you purchase. ... SuSE-10.0 has problems with some SATA chipsets/drive combinations. Also, Novell/SuSE do not, as part of their basic retail SuSE-10.0 package, provide support for SATA drives. Thats another indication illustrating the fact that there can be installation problems with SATA drives on SuSE-10.0.
