SUSE Multiple Sounds


I'm with SUSE 9.1 and I have problems with sounds , when I listen music with XMMS I can't run MPlayer or Xine or other program which use soundcard.

Do you mean you can't run them at the same time?

That's a problem with XMMS...there is no way that i know of around it

There must be some plug-in to make xmms use the KDE Arts sound server instead of using(monopolizing) directly the sound card.
check the xmms options, and also if the package xmms-arts (something like that) is installed.
