Suse Linux 9.0 YaST Color theme change

Hello Group!

First time poster here however been using Suse Linux for many many years. I've been running SuSe 9.0 since it came out and have upgraded many packages over the years. I would like to change color schemes for YaST and from what I've read everything points to a file in /etc/sysconfig/YaST or YaST2. However that file does NOT exist there. I've tried locating the files in /usr/lib/ which I did find however that only points to the graphical interface physically at the computer. I am logging in via SSH and issuing the yast command via command line under the root user. I am using YaST via the ncurses interface and the recommended Shift-F4 command does not work either. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

In Leap 15.1 the file is /etc/sysconfig/yast2.

9.0 was new 17 years ago. Meanwhile, YaST, like SUSE Linux Enterprise and openSUSE has, evolved. I seriously doubt you're going to find many who remember how YaST theming worked back then. If you can't figure it out on your own, and need help, best you bring your OS out of antiquity to a supported version for which people know such things, either SUSE Enterprise Linux 15, or openSUSE Leap 15.2 or Tumbleweed.

@mrmazda - with all the updates over the years it is still running like a dream. I do small webhosting/dns/mail for about 10 domains and everything is tuned in. Now if I updated I run the risk of breaking something. The server runs headless and only logged in remotely. I'll keep digging in the mean time if anyone has any ideas I'm all "eyes". Thanks!
