ok i've never worked on linux before is it good to start with suse
does suse have graphic installation or not ?
does it have kde

Suse has a graphical installation and comes with KDE, Gnome, and a few other lighter weight window managers. Easy to use, but has plenty of advanced features that you can use as you grow into it.
This is a good place to come and learn if youhave any questions.

Keep in mind that the Personal edition lacks some key features. THese are things that you may not notice right away but as you get more advanced, you'll be beggin for. They are available for download by adding the suse FTP server to Yast, but it will be quite a download.

It is still fully functional ,you just cant install applications from source code without adding these things from the FTP. You can still install RPM's at will, though.

Well if you are just going to go the download route, then get 9.1. Suse comes with the Apache Webserver, and on the initial install of suse you get a nice and pretty GUI enviroment, and yes, it does have KDE 3.2. I wouldn't recommend installing off of the FTP, it seems to be a lot harder. I would just download the personal disc from www.suse.com. Have some fun, and believe me, jump into Pro whenever you can. You could just wait a little while longer and get SUSE 9.2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I am very excited for this release lol. Yea, so I would just try out the 9.1 Personal and if you like it, give 9.2 pro a try. I have not even tried it yet, and I am going to take a risk and say that you won't be disappointed. I don't think that is to much of a risk for me to take though,..... hehe.

Go to the SuSE site and check out the packages included in 9.1 Pro, if you care to wait until you can download the 9.2 version those packages should also be on the SuSE site, and the ftp site should have the full download in early December.

Whatever you choose, go with the Pro version or better yet buy the 9.2 version when it hits the shelves in the next couple of weeks.
