suse enterprise as Primary Domain Controller

My Dear Fellows-
I have recently read an article here
which describes using SuSe as a Primary Domain Controller. I am not sure if this means I can use SuSe EL as my Windows Logon/Password server without having a Windows Server present. ( Too magnificent to hope for ) I will have several W2K clients which are presently configured as a peer network and we need to create a network logon environment to control access to shared files.

Thanks In Advance

Setting up a PDC (in reality, its a PDC emulator) will give you the Windows Functionality of an NT4.0 Domain Controller. All your clients can join the domain and have centralized security/logon passwords. There is no need to buy any Windows Server as the Samba people have gotten the NT4 domain function working very well. If you needed, you could add an NT/2000/2003 server later if you wanted (but who would want to).

You can also specify logon scripts, shared folders, shared printers, a PDF printer, and map Unix to Windows name.

I am assuming that the articles configuration files are correct.
