SUSE and DNS client

Using SUSE 10, what DNS client does SUSE use for controlling DNS entries in resolv.conf and how can I control that. I have attempted to edit the /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp and config files and it does not work to well for refreshing my DNS entries. Help?
