SUSE 9.3 YAST Install Remove search problem
 

Hi,

I have encountered a very strange problem. I am in YAST Install and Remove software section. When I try to enter the name of the package into search window, i simply cant . The cursor is blinking in that window butt I cant write anything. If I try to paste into it, I can paste.

Does this happen every time you go to yast or just intermittently?

If it happens all the time then I'm not sure what to tell you. If it just
happens sometimes what I've found is if you minimize the application
and the maximize is again you can type in the search field.
I've also noticed this behavior with firefox. Some kind of focus bug I
would guess.

zackarya, I tried what you suggested. It worked. It never happened in SUSE9.2. It is really very interesting. What could be the reason????
