Suse 9.3 : how to Start the program ????

Hi everyone, installed 9.3 Suse Pro, But....
But at the end, when I start to access Suse 9.3, it ask me :
login : ok accepted
Password : ok accepted

but at the end Suse writes: mylogin@linux:>
where, after mylogin@linux , between : and > there is a little, little wave, a little bit upper, that i cannot type with this keyboard ( but this is not the problem).

The problem is that, after Suse writes : mylogin@linux:littlewave >
I don't know what to type to access the program !!!!!!!

I tried to write my login , password, User Name, but nothing!
I do not have access to the program ! ( Maybe becouse when I installed it I wasn't connected to Internet?? I think it was not a sure thing to do before cheking Suse's settings.)
Big Thanks to anyone can help !!!!!

That's SuSE actually running, just not with the graphics setup right meaning you don't get the pretty pictures they show on the box ;-) Try typing "startx" and see what happens. It may well fail and give a load of errors and drop you back to your text, in which case try typing "sax2" and follow through the graphics setup again. Within the SuSE manual, there is a good section on configuring graphical environment using sax2, which should get you up and running.

Otherwise, what kind of graphics card and monitor do you have?
