Suse 9.3 free download vs. official version

Hi,

Do you know the difference between suse 9.3 free live download (http://www.novell.com/products/linux...nux/index.html) and official purchased version? I wonder if there are components missing from the free version? I never understand the difference between the two. Pls advise. Thanks.

Well you cannot install the "free live version" as it is just a bootable live cd. The purchasable version is installable ;-). But maybe you meant the "ftp download version"? If so, then it's the same as the purchasable version minus the commercial apps/drivers, although certain commercial drivers can be optained via YaST sources and also via YOU. Hope that helps.
