Suse 9.2 install weirdness

Tried installing Suse 9.2 from the FTP-DVD image. I get through the initial install only to be told it can't find my DVD drive and switches to manual install.

Weird thing is, it booted from the DVD and was reading from the DVD right up to that point...?

I've tried installing via FTP instead, but it comes up with no packages in the software section during the install...

10.0 installed without a hitch. Unfortunately, my hardware RAID drivers are only written for 9.2.

My understanding was since 10.0 uses a different version of the linux kernel that the drivers would _not_ be compatible...?
