Suse 9.2 hangs at formatting screen
I'm trying to install Suse 9.2 Professional on my computer, dual-booting with Windows XP Home. I've created the / and /boot partitions (reiserfs and ext2, respectively), and have gotten through the FTP installation up to the formatting part with no problems. It formats /dev/hda6 ( / ) fine, but when it gets to /dev/hda3 ( /boot ), it hangs at 100%. The little clock spins, the hdd light flickers on and off, but it just sits. I've attempted this twice before, with the same result. I've done a manual reboot each previous time, and without a boot disk, it can't boot an OS. (Didn't lose any data though, thank god). It's been going for 1 1/2 hours, and I'd really like my good computer back... any suggestions on what to do? I'm running an Athlon64 3200+ (32-bit installation, though) with 1GB of RAM and 160GB hdd, if it helps. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I'm doing the "safe installation" this time, but I get the problem with any installation option.

Do you get any messages on console (Ctrl+Alt+F1 or F10, back with Atl+F7)?
