SUSE 9.2/Apache help

Hey all,

I installed SUSE 9.2 without any problems, everything works fine. I open Yast to install Apache, I fill out the Http server configuration page, click finish. It then takes me to the Saving HTTP Server Config page, it "writes the apache2 settings" but then it tries to "run SuSEconfig" and I get an error saying "Cnnot adjust 'apache2' service.

can someone help me with this??

Thanks a lot!

Mike

have u tried to start the server?
/etc/init.d/apache2 start

probably it will work fine...or give u a detailed explanation in the error log whtas wrong with your apache configuration.
the Suse sysconfig files are sort of tricky...i never understood them yet

good luck,
j.

alright,

I ran it in the Konsole and it gave me a couple errors in the syntax of the loadmodule.conf... I tried installing it in Yast again, but this time I disabled the problematic modules... and it worked!

thanks a lot for the help!

Suse config will give an error if your configuration settings have some wrong entries or may be documents directory may not be correct. Just check that.
