SUSE 9.1pro ftp client

Is there a ftp program bundled with SUSE 9.1 pro, and if so where would someone find it? Also if it does not come with a program is there one out there that works well and is easy to install/use. I am a newbie to Linux, but am not afraid to get my hands dirty. If there is a program out there that is great and involves a lot to install, I will give it a try.

Hi,

SuSE comes with two very handy FTP clients - what is installed depends on which packages you selected during installation. The first is KBear which is okay, but I prefer gFTP.

If you use KDE, from the K menu, go to Internet, Data Exchange and you should see one of the above. If you wanted to try gFTP and it has not been installed, you can use YAST to install the package from your DVD or CD.

As a really quick and handy alternative you can use the FireFTP extension for the FireFox web browser.

Hope that helps.
