Suse 9.1 X server error during startx

I've installed 9.1 Suse Professional. It came with X server 4.2.0, not my choice, but it is the only copy available and I just want to get it working. My main problem is that I tried to trouble shoot using sax2, but that didn't help. I've found an RPM from the suse ftp site to upgrade to the X.org, which is what I would like to have. of course when I tried to install the binary it spit back that I needed the following:

libXaw.so.8
libXv.so.1libXxf86dga.so.1
libXxf86misc.so.1

Is there some X.org library RPM that I need first? or is there anyway to find these on the internet somewhere, I did a google, but didn't hit any leads to anything.

I know this is vague, but I do have logs if you want them posted, but they take up a lot of room. and I'd have to type them out....ugh!!
But anyway if anyone has some suggestions, could they please respond to my thread. Thanks very much.

are you sure the cds burned right? Usually suse sets x up by itself and you shouldnt have any problems. what kind of video card and monitor do you have? i'm not sure where to get the libraries for x, but you would think they'd come with SUSE. it might just be easiest to burn the cds again, (check the md5sums too if you haven't already) and try installing again
