Suse 9.1 wont play vcd's but plays dvd's
Hello one and all. i'be problems getting kaffeine to play vcd's
Can anyone suggest what plugin i'm missing as kaffeine throws up an error, no plugin to handle this resource
I've installed libdvdcss-1.2.8-2.network.i386.rpm, libxine1-1_cvs-041019.i586.rpm and w32codec-0.52-1.i386.rpm from daily xine rpm's.
Dvd playback works a treat. so i'm at a loss as to whats causing this.
I've got realplayer 10 working with both mozilla browsers, kaffeine working with both browsers playing quicktime and wmv files.
This is the only thing holding me back now, and this is the closest i've ever got to being 100% happy with linux.

xine....
Kaffine is just a graphical front-end to xine, and SuSE limits XINE's functionality to avoid copyright issues, if you got xine and compiled it from source or installed the rpms that might work...
