Hello everyone.
I have a quick question regarding SuSe 9.1 Professional.

I set it up to test on a computer at work. So far everything is looking great and I like the interface. However, I have one question:

I'm trying to customize my terminal (I don't use kconsole, just using the xterminal the ones that come on the install.)

Anyway, the terminal has a white background and I want to change it to a black background and maybe some different colored text.

My question is, do I have to install another terminal to do that, or can I somehow modify the current terminal to do that? I have had zero luck modifying this so far.

Any suggestions?

A click on setting when you have a terminal open, should give you all the options you want. That is unless I'm missunderstanding what you're looking for.

For instance, if you go to the suse menu, system -> terminal and select X Terminal.

Ok, now that it is fired up, I click on the X in upper left corner, yet I don't see a place to change the colors.

Am I missing something?

Ah! I just usually use konsole, however if you do either of the following:

linux>man xterm
or
linux>pinfo xterm

That should tell you all you need to know.

HI all,

I'm new to Linux. I just downloaded SUSE 9.1 personal and installed it. However when it boot, it only boot to command line. I type in "X" command to bring up the x terminal but the system says it fail to load so fail..... I'm not sure i used the correct command, or if this version only give user command line interface.
