suse 9.1 prof to suse 9.2 prof update?


got suse fulll verison 9.1 professional

if i get the suse 9.2 update-does the update format the hard drive before installation, or does it install ontop of suse 9.1

No it doesn't format the hard drive. Well not unless you tell it to.

yes , i would like it to formatt the drive, resulting in a fress install instead of copying over 9.1. thanks

What you would do is just tell it to perform a fresh installation then. That would effectively get rid of your 9.1 installation and give you a clean 9.2 installation.
