Suse 9.1 Freezes

Hi,

I use a VIA Samuel 2 Processor, VIA CLE 266 Video card, VIA modem, 20GB HDD with 256MB. I dual booted my PC with Windows XP and Suse Linux 9.1 Professional. During installation there was no error but when Suse reboots, it freezes up either at text login or after KDE runs. Everything just freezes and I have to cold-boot the system to restart the system.

Has anyone experienced this? What can I do?

Thanks

On the boot screen, try adding acpi=off and see if that helps.

Just a guess.

Thanks! It helped but I had to include the following, noacpi, apm=off. After that I did not experience freezing again
