SuSE 8.2 and KMail/GnuPG

Looking for a soul mate or ultimate help.

I upgraded my KDE to 3.3 and it killed my KMail configuration regarding singing e-mails and reading signed or encrypted e-mails.

In the meantime I upgraded my diverse components to
gpg-1.2.2rc1-98 (orig SuSE 8.2)
libgpg-error-0.6-35
gpg2-1.9.10-0
gpgme-0.9.0-3
libassuan-0.6.6-1cl_cl10_kdeorg
libgcrypt11-1.1.94-0cl_cl10_kdeorg
libgcrypt-1.1.91-39
dirmngr-0.5.5-0
libksba-0.4.6-10
libksba8-0.9.7-0cl_cl10_kdeorg
pinentry-0.7.1-2mdk

in the hope that would make it work, as described in

http:_//_kmail.kde.org /_kmail-pgpmime-howto.html (remove the "_")

NOPE! Id still refuses to let me configure the signature keys and encryption keys.

When I go to Settings-->Configure KMail; Identities-->Modify-->Cryptography-->Change..
I get an empty list of keys available.

I had the configuration with gnupg-agent running, but I don't know what goes wrong.

Does anybody know what to do or how to find out? Is KMail in SuSE build with GnuPGme integration disabled?

Does anybody know why SuSE ignores GnuPG and its integration into KDE 3.3 more or less? Not even in 9.1 are the packages up to date (or even included) and older releases (like my 8.2) don't seem to even update gnupg itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kaj
