Red face Suse 10 with smp-kernel HT problem again

Please help!
According your advices I have installed kernel-smp (2.6.13-15) and kernel-smp-nongpl (2.6.13-15) I have updated also BIOS but still I have the same problem- when HT function is enabled in BIOS Suse 10 freeze at the first screen- everything working properly under win XP (with HT enabled) and under Linux when HT is disabled. What to do? Any ideas?

I am not sure, but I have the impression that ACPI and APIC functions do not work properly with smp kernels. Try acpi=off or other acpi-related bootoptions:

Bingo !!!

Thanks a lot it was a problem...

After deactivation the ACPI and APIC everything is working with HT enabled!!!

I am using linux only for biq calulations problems, so HT was really important for me-
once again thank you for this advice.
