SUSe 10 not installing on DL 380 G6

Hi,

I am trying to install SUSE 10 SP1 on my DL380 G6 but it seems that the installation is not able to mount the drive.

When I boot the server
it starts to boot from the DVD but after choosing Install/Upgrade it gives me an error to insert CD1 in the CD drive. I tried the dvd installation and the CD installation but with the same error

Hi the G6 has a new scsi raid adapter. You will need to update the cciss drivers. An easier method would be to use SUSE 11

Thank you for your feedback, I was just wondering how would scsi adapter affect the CDROM moreover how can I update the driver since I still did not install the Suse O/S? As for using ver 11 it is not possible since we have bought version 10 SLES
