Question Suse 10.2 dual boot

Hi,

I just installed Suse 10.2 on my wife's new Dell D830 laptop with dual boot configuration. During the installation, Linux shrank the Windows partition. The installation process was successful, Linux boots without any problem. But, Windows/XP boot sequence was strange for a while: it showed the OS choice screen twice for the first 3/4 times I switched from Linux to Windows.

Is there any problem with my installation?

Thanks in advance.

Chi

Hi Ron,

I did not perform a defragmentation before shrinking the Windows partition because the laptop was brand new. Would this cause a problem? If so, how could I correct this problem?

How would I see the contents of the boot loader?

Thanks again.

If it is a brand new computer than defrag is not necessary
The content of the boot loader just yast>system>boot loader
Just for you're info Opensuse 10.3 is better than opensuse 10.2
If you're just building the computer up opensuse 11.0 is out now
But if opensuse 10.2 suit you wel keep it
