Suse 10.1 does really provide better wireless integration, hands down, but still getting a driver installed and working is still going to be the struggle.

Hope this helps

That is interesting. I hadn't noticed that, since I don't use KWallet. I'm still typing in my WEP key everytime I connect. (What a pain!)

I'll have to enable KWallet.

Now if only I can get the stupid zenupdater to work....

Yes, but you can make the same package by using all six CDs. You can even make them into one DVD if you like.

HTH!

How to configure Knetwork Manager

I use KNetworkManager and it is easy to change networks and have multiple profiles. Much easier than WinXP. I also use KNemo to notify me of available networks when roaming.

Suse 10.1 is the best distro I've used on this laptop. It even got the widescreen display correct.

Hello

Please guide me in the configuration of Knetwork Manager
it detects the wireless network
but i can't connect

i place the cursor over the network's name
and the IP and submask is filled with zeros

SuSE 10.1 wireless

After installing wireless through YAST, please delete the ethernet controller. It should show -not configured. Now wireless should work.It seems there should be no unused network configuration
