Suse 10.0 WiFi issue, not major, but a pain

Today I did a fresh install of Suse 10.0 on my Sony VGN-S360 notebook. To the most part everything is better than expected. However there is one quirk that I am trying to work out.

My WiFi works great, when it's working. The problem is that when I do a clean boot, it doesn't work unless I go into Kinternet and do a manual connection.

Before connecting everything looks the way that it is supposed to when I look at iwconfig. It is exactly the same when it is not working and when it is working.

The second problem is that in Yast, it asks if Kinternet be shown on all users task bars. I selected yes, but it does not show up. Right now I am opening a console window to run.

Other than that, Suse 10.0 has been smooth and flawless.

Any help would be very much appreciated to make everything perfect.

Thanks.

2 possibles:
1) In YAST, hardware, network devices, do you have it set to "connect on boot"? There are settings of manually, connect on boot, and something else I think. Make sure it is set to connect on boot.

Assuming that isn't it
2) Have you tried using kwifimanager instead of kinternet?
