subprocess failed during install


Using Yast2 I error out after 1% on disk 1.

Snippet:

InstTarget:E_RpmDB_supprocess failed

iispell-american-3.2.06-368.i586.rpm: not an rpm package(or package manifest): Input/ Output error.


Please be gentle as Ive now got a total 1 hour of Linux under my belt...

Are you using a downloaded CD you burned from an ISO image? If so, you may want to download another image and try again. It sounds like your Suse CD might have corrupted data on it.
