...
Details:
ERROR(InstSrc E_no_instrc_on_media)
...
I think that I have to set up some yast directory or something but don't know how. I am sorry for the stupid question. Thank you for helping

I should add that I have the ftp mirrors addresses, but I think I am typing it wrong in the name and the directory, what is the server name and directory, cause I tried everythink that looked reasonable to me
Ok, your problem is: the folder 'update' is for YOU updates only and no valid Yast source. If you would like to install updates (security and bug fixes) then use the module YOU in Yast. Ifyou would like to install software for your current version or would like to upgrade the system to a higher version, use this path:
Thank you every one. This was very helpful. I also found out that I cannot copy and paste the URL from the browser, I have to actually type it in. I hope this thread helps other newbies too, since I believe SUSE is great, now that I see what I can do with it. BTW how do I select the YOU mode in yast in case I need to use. I realize I am asking too many questions, so if I don't get an answer on this one it's OK. It is probably something simple that I can figure out by myself later on .
Thank you guys, I have found out that this is the best forum for any linux questions
