Strange sound problem

Hello, I recently installed suse, did YOU and such, but still have this problem.

Amarok mutes pcm everytime it begins playback of a track. When running from a console I don't see any error messages or anything. Otherwise, it works fine, except for the muting problem. Any ideas?

fixed! screw the helix engine, using the xine engine fixes it!
