first of all im new in linux so i dont have to much knowledge of it.
i want to install nvdia geforce mx 4000 driver from a cd, but i dont know how to open a cd-rom in text mode, so if some could help me with the command it will be great. that will solve the problem right??
if you want to open a cd-rom in text mode, you can push the eject button from your device :-)
If that doesn't work (e.g. your device is busy), you can eject disc with the command eject (if you have multiple devices, you'll have to append your desired device, example 'eject /dev/hdc' for Secondary Master)
You'll have to be sure the device is mounted (type mount and look if your cd-rom device is listed). If it is, you change to the specified directory and type ls to list content, or the easier way: mc
With mc you also can browse content.
