Soundcard works, but not with headphones and microphone:(

Hi all,

I just installed OpenSUSE 10.2 on my HP Pavillion DV6123eu. Everything works, included the wireless lan card. So, perfect.

Anyway, I noticed a strange issue. I wanted to try Skype but when I inserted the two jacks of the headset (microphone and headphones) the audio kept coming out from the internal boxes, the headphones and the microphone do not work, are simply ignored.

My Sound Card is MPC51 High Definition Audio.

Anyone knows how to solve this issue? I knew there is a package called JACK, but, once installed, I don't know what to do...

Thanks to everyone who may want to reply to me!

Fabio
