some keys in kde dont work

hi,

i installed a new system with suse 9.2. In KDE-Apps all keys worked well for example @ (at)...
after i rebooted the system the first time many keys dont work any more in kde/x11.
For example @ or | dont work - when i type them nothing happens.

any ideas?

Maybe it helps to choose another keyboard layout.

Open Yast -> System -> Select Keyboard Layout
or
Open KDE Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility -> Keyboard Layout

I am not sure what the difference exactly is between these two options, but I guess from Yast the settings are system wide an not only restricted to KDE

You need to change your layout. It happened to me with English-international (en) layout - some keys (` and ' for example) worked in a kind'a weird way. But after switching to en_US layout everything became normal.
