Solved internet problem suse 10&10.1
Hi all,
I had problems getting on the internet with both suse 10.0 and 10.1 my ip numbers were correct.
I noticed that my ifconfig results(rx_tx)were very slow..This showed up as either not able to connect to the internet at all, or to connect for one or possibly two web pages..The connection was then broken..It narrowed down to my NIC card(a cnetpro-200)..This card used the Davicom chipset and also suse found the tulip driver for it..
I noticed that when the tulip driver was installed it used"option=0"
After reading google results I found that you could vary the options..
More reading later I decided to try "option=11" VIOLA!!
ifconfig showed huge increases in speed and both konqueror and Firefox connected like gangbusters..In fact I am typing this from my newly installed 10.0 version..
