i have net-snmp installed (from installation on CD) but now im not sure how to configure it. i would like to do some mrtg / cacti graphs and i think this is why no data is being sent. Doh!
Can someone throw me a bone? Also is there a gui that will do it? Im a newbie (dont laugh : to hard )
you so don't need a gui... just edit /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf or similar. if you're not getting anywhere which cacti etc.. take a step back and ensure you can use snmpwalk to pull the raw data out. worry about a reporting system once you know snmp is running ok. and of course, ensure it's actually running at all too.
