Show desktop icon on panel
I am starting to miss the Show Destop icon that i used to have when using KDE on slackware and every other distro I've used before. Where is it on Suse? And how do I add it on?

Not sure that this really answers your question, but how many desktops do you have in your taskbar? If I want to 'see' a desktop icon I just click on a spare window - and Bob's your uncle! Incidentally, while searching Suse Help specifically for 'show desktop' I came across 'kpager'. If you 'right click' on the taskbar desktop windows boxes (and if you have a KDE windows manager) you should see a Launch Kpager. It should give you thumbnails of all your desktops, and I understand that you can use it to drag and drop a visible application/konsole/etc from one desktop to another.
To get more destops - right click on the current desktop background - choose Configure Desktop... - and then Multiple Desktops. HTH |
thanks for the reply, but what i really wanted was to minimize all windows.
I found out how just now, right click on the panel, add to panel, add special button, desktop access. click on the new icon to minimize all windows! |
--oops, didn't read that he answered his own question --
