set up ftp server

I am running suse 9.3 as a webserver [Apache 2 + Tomcat 5], I would like to set up ftp so I can upload files internal to the ROOT folder, is there any notes on how to set up an ftp server for suse 9.3??

Have a try with the YaST dialog. It will guide you through...

(YaST -> Network Services -> TFTP Server)

I installed the TFTP Server(I think). Anyone know where I can get some info about administering an TFTP server??

I'm fairly new to linux and I'm just learning.

I installed the server using YaST but now I don't know to do basic admin chores like to chedk if it's up and running on boot up, if I have to start it manually, how to add users, test its functionality, etc.
