Unhappy Selecting Print Closes Firefox.

In Suse 10.1 I can print in Thunderbird, Konsole, Kwrite, Kate, ect. But in Firefox 1.5.0.4 when I click on 'Print' icon or select 'File>Print' Firefox closes immediately. Does anyone have ideas where to look to figure out this problem???

re-install firefox with the latest and greatest. I've had issues with that too. firefox can leave itself open in an errored state and so the next one you open and try to run can have some interesting features.

simply delete ~/.mozilla/firefox (as I mentioned his before on the other forum)

re-installing is not required and will make no difference.

that will re-create a firefox profile, uninstalling and getting the latest and greatest would do the same, if not fix the error that caused it in the first place.

of course, but deleting and reinstalling FF will do nothing for profile, It will not delete user profile,
Because, in some instances FF after upgrade worked well in some it did not, so this indicates problems with user config. So there is no point of reinstalling FF.

Thanks, I do appreciate your help, and these exercises in problem solving do lead to learning including learning different approaches to looking at the problem. In this instance I uninstalled Firefox then uninstalled my printer then rebooted and reinstalled Firefox then reinstalled printer and that solved the problem. I think somehow a change I had made in Yast>Hardware>Printer [for some reason I had to reinstall my printer after upgrading from 10.0 to 10.1] led to corrupted entries in Firefox>about:config. At any rate thats what I did and it works so far. Thanks again for your help.

In about:config I have this line:

print.printer_CUPS/deskjet3900.print_command User Set String lpr

which I think is what was missing. I was looking for print_command before [several times] and it wasn't there.
