SATA Raid Problem
I'm trying to install SLES9 on a server that has a
MegaRAID SATA 150-4 installed. I have 4 sata drives configured as two striped drives/raid 0. Upon installation, sles9 finds the drives and recognize them as /dev/sda and /dev/sdb. I then proceed to create partitions and install the os. Everything goes okay up until the time the installation reboots for the first time and then the boot screen spits the following: Starting udev Creating devices Loading kernel/drivers/scsi/scsi_mod.ko SCSI subsystem initialized Loading kernel/drivers/scsi/sd_mod.ko Loading extra/megaide.ko megaide: module license "Proprietary" taints kernel. megaide: driver version 05.07k (Date: May 25, 2004: 12:49 EST) Loading kernel/fs/reiserfs/reiserfs.ko Waiting for device /dev/sda1 to appear: .....not found then it just hangs there. I've tried using other drivers usually resulting in sles9 not even recognizing the drives at all. Any help, advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. - Delamatrix |
