rsync error

I'm running rsync version 2.6.3 on Netware 6.5. Rsync exits with an
error -

rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at io.c (1898).

I'm using these switches -

rsync -avz --timeout=3600 --bwlimit=200 --exclude-from=$ex --port=$port
--delete -b --backup-dir=$destination --volume=$vol: $source

All these are running on the Perl script in the client end. Do I need to add the same switches in the server's rsyncd.conf file as well?

rsync runs at night when there is no network traffic.

that problem has been around for a long time now and has not yet been fixed. i just recommend not running rsync for a long time. it's kind of too much stack usage or something.
