sax2 doesn't know about xorg, so you probably won't be able to use it to configure anything. You can try it if you like, but your mileage may vary.
Before you install xorg, I recommend that you configure X11 if you have it, and take a copy of your XFree86.conf file. You may get away with using it for the basis of your XOrg.conf.
Also, take a look at the documentation for xorg before you uninstall sax2; there may be configuration tools included but they may not be as easy to use.
