remote access from Windows cannot connect

I must be doing something wrong here as I've tried for nearly 3 days to get this working -all the google pages says its easy but I just can't get it to work on my machine.

I've got PUtty installed on the windows machine and can SSH to my remote machine --no problems.

I can start the VNCserver on the remote machine with console 2

solved -- bad case of RTFM --- should have connected to port 5902 for console 02 not 5900

Amazing what a beer does for you !!

cheers

-k
