Unhappy remodification of password display is not happening !!! opensuse 11.0 KDE 3.5

In personal settings there is a option for password display.
Those are
* show single star for each character
* show three stars for each character
* no password display.

My friend modified this option to "show 3 stars" in her system.

I had set that option back to the single star .... but login page again showing the 3 stars for single character pressing.

I tried to open in shell using "kcontrol" command.
Code:
raju@linux-snzv:~> kcontrol
raju@linux-snzv:~> kcontrol &
[1] 4311
there is no background text display for this command.

How can i change password display to "1 star". Login page is tooo worse by displaying too much stars.
