Reboot the server from CDROM

Hi.

I have a Fujitsu server with Suse 9.1 installed on it, and I will like to install Red hat on it. I have inserted Red hat Cd in CDROM and reboot the server but Red Hat installation doesn't start, as it use to do automatically.

I have tried to for force to start from CDROM, using BIOS unsuccessfully.

Can anyboy help me about how can I start Redhat CDROM installation on the server?.

Thanks.

Regards:

Could you check if your RedHat CD boots on other computers?

Yes, I have checked my Red Hat CDs, and they boots perfectly on other computers, without problems.

I can only imagine that this is a BIOS problem. Maybe a BIOS update will help.

this could be your cd/dvd-rom problem and hard to detect. get a new one after it failed when you try another installation CD in it.

i had this once. my dvd-rom worked but not reliable somehow. it tortured me for 3 months before i decided to replace it. after that i no longer had this problem before it's donated (in 1.5 yrs).
