Question about php 5 and apache webserver

Has anyone been able to install the latest version of php 5 against apache server that came with suse 9.2 pro? I am able to configure and compile the source code. However when I try to install php 5 I get a apxs Error. The error says that the httpd-prefork.conf file could not be found. Anyone else have this problem?
