Proliant con Suse

Hi!
I have a Compaq Proliant 2500 with 512mb RAM but when I start the cd instalation I get a kernel panic. I figured out that happens because suse doesnt recognize all memory that it has. Just see 16mb and the installer cant start.
I figured out how tell it that knows all memory using this line
linux mem=640K@0k mem=511m@1m
This line works fine in debian so installed debian in the Proliant but I want my suse , I try this line in suse but my server freeze
Uncompressing kernel....

There is a line that works like this in Suse?
This is boot options
TIA
