Problem with openSUSE 10.2 in VMWare as guest OS
I've installed openSUSE 10.2 as a guest operating system in VMWare and while trying to install the VMWare tools I get the following message in the console after using the command vmware-config-tools.pl
Stopping VMware Tools services in the Virtual machine: Guest operating system daemon: Trying to find a suitable vmhgfs module for your running kernel. None of the pre-built vmhgfs modules for VMware Tools is suitable for your running kernel. Do you want this program to try to build the vmhgfs module for your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes] Using complier "/usr/bin/gcc". Use environment variable CC to overide. What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] Any ideas where I can find this directory or what it would be? I'm using VMware Workstation 5.5.2 build-29772 for Windows, with Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600, Service Pack 2 as the host system. Thanks |
