Problem to install amarok 1.3.2 in SUSE 10.0 RC1
The files I downloaded are:
amarok-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-gstreamer-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-helix-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-libvisual-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-xine-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-xmms-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm gstreamer-plugins-0.8.8-13.i586.rpm I uninstalled existing amarok, then, When I type rpm -i amarok-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm Error occurs: warning: amarok-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34.i686.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 58857177 error: Failed dependencies: mad is needed by amarok-1.3.2-1.guru.suse100.kde34 HOW TO SOLVE IT? |
I downloaded mad, then, i did:
rpm -i k3b-mad-0.11.22-3.i586.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libk3bcore.so.2 is needed by k3b-mad-0.11.22-3 libk3bplugin.so.2 is needed by k3b-mad-0.11.22-3 libmad.so.0 is needed by k3b-mad-0.11.22-3 |
kdemultimedia3-arts
Go to yast
seach kdemultimedia3-arts and install it. Turn on amarok and thats it and it works ;). Hope it helps. |

why dont you use apt4suse to install. I am using it since SUSE 9.2 together with synaptic. Just go to : http://www.susewiki.org/index.php?ti...stall-apt4suse and follow the instructions. regards |

i got all amarok 1.3.2 files in a folder, after installting apt, what shall i do to install it? shall i uninstall old amarok first? |
Yes it is better to uninstall them with Yast.
have you installed synaptic? If so, run it. |
