Hi,
I'm trying to do an ftp install of 9.3 and I run through the steps, adding the IP of the ftp, the directory etc.Then I connect, the installation loads into the initial ram disk and then YAST starts.

However, when YAST analyzes my system and proposes the formatting, software, keyboard etc etc, the software setting has an error next to it saying 'could not read from installation media'. Consequently no software is selected for install and there is no way that I can chooses anything to install.

Does anyone know what might be going on?
I've tried several ftp servers and even the Suse one, and i get the same problem. I know it's connected to the ftp, otherwise I wouldn't have got as far as I did in the install process.

At this time, Suse has not yet made v9.3 available for FTP download. I don't know their schedule but it likely will be at least several more weeks -- J.W.

I was using ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/current thinking that it was 9.3, but it must only be 9.2.
Either way, my ftp install didn't work
Perhaps I'll just download the iso's....
